I dunno but I think emo is what you behave like not how you look like, for example I don't have a emo haircut but can still act like one.

Emo is hard to truly define. Most people at my school say it's depressed people

Well It think the original definition of emo is someone that over-emotes on everything, so not only sad people are emo.
I think if you are depressed all the time and really dislike everything then you are a goth. (goths aren't always satanists, for example me, I am an atheist)

I think the definition is sensitive emotions and wear black often.
Because they over emote, they have strong relationships with friends, family, and they're girlfriend / boyfriend. And for example, if their girl / boy friend dmps them they r a wreck. When my girl friend dumped me 6 months ago, I was crying for about 2 or 3 hours when it happened, and I was depressed for about a month. So that's like a little thing, some people do things way worse.
