background info: Hails from the Makai Clan that is mostly stationed in the Cloud village. The Makai are said to have descended from the *oni themselves, possessing extraordinary strength, fire jutsu, and a connection to the cosmos.
The clan is both feared and respected, and known to produce extraordinary shinobi.
Yashako was an exceptional student of her mother, but always seemed rebelious. She wasn't an official academy student, but was called on for missions in her later years.
When she turned 17, she decided to go on a pilgrimage to discover herself, training in the mountains alone. Eventually, she was found by Akatsuki.
Not knowing their impact on the rest of the world, due to her seclusion, took their offer at face value.

Personality: Very loud and boisterous with an aggressive temperament. May seem cocky or egocentric, but is a complete softy when it comes to long-time friendships. Acts like a man from time to time, and brags about her proud heritage.
